Final Fantasy Music
I downloaded a 200 gig torrent of all the final fantasy music released up until 2020 or so. As a result I have a LOT of final fantasy music! So much, in fact. I'm not sure how to go about this so... Final Fantasy 13 has a great soundtrack! Mostly very chill, the battle music stays catchy. And I also loved the game! Man reviewing music is hard.
Playing the Radio
I got super into the radio this month! I got a clock/radio for the bedroom to use as a bluetooth speaker and instead I'm using it as a radio. still haven't tried to use the alarm clock though. It's a Dandimpen! I've been wanting some way to get new music that isn't algorithmically generated and that's what radio DJs are for! I ended up having to buy a new radio antenna for my Sony stereo because I threw it away. First, I had no idea how a little wire was an antenna and second I didn't think I was going to be listening to the radio any time soon. The big stereo gets a station the little one doesn't, so I've set 6 presets so far, all indie stations.
- 98.7 - WFMT - Plays classical and folk music. Comes in great. Run by WTTW who runs the PBS station.
- 107.1 - WCXP-LP/Chirp Radio - What a story! A group of people saw radio consolidation happening, started an internet radio station, got a bill passed, and got a radio transmitter in Uptown. It's extremely cool.
- 88.7 - WLUW - Loyola Univesity School of Communications radio station. I haven't listened to it enough to know anything though. I'm glad college radio stations are still a thing.
- 89.3 - WNUR - Northwestern University radio station. There's one dj named Black Terry who plays dance music that I liked enough for me to remember who the dj was.
- 91.5 - WBEZ - NPR affiliated station run by Chicago Public Media I listened to a lot of NPR when I was a parking lot attendant. And a little bit during the runup to the 2014 elections.
- 91.1 - WBEW/Vocalo - NPR affiliated station also run by Chicago Public Media. NPR's Urban station.
