Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (2013)
I've never been able to hold interest in actually playing a final fantasy game that isn't FF14. And then there Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is. I didn't play the first or second ones in this series, though I think I tried. I definitely haven't seen them all the way through. I didn't like the boys very much. This game is fun for me to play and the mechanics are all simple enough to manage on easy. Playing this on normal difficulty would be like a survival game. I love the villain/not-a-villain (the real villain is God) Lumina. I like that it's a FF game that's focused on one character who exudes Xena energy. The meeting friends you haven't seen in ages still hits even if I don't really know what these folks have gone through. I'm a huge fan.
XCOM 2: War of the Chosen (2017)
I'm playing through this on normal difficulty on the xbox. What's weird is that I haven't experienced any major bugs in the actual game, it just crashes regularly. Maybe I let the thing get too hot? IDK. It's XCOM. I love it and wish it had more fun tones than just edgy. I've got enough characters that I can really get customizing. It's just an intense game you know!

I keep playing through XCOM! Having a good time bringing people up! Save scumming deaths really breaks the difficulty curve. At least if you know the game. Maybe I'll commit to deaths moving forward? If an alien takes out my superteams they deserve it. I'm done with the chosen and I've got 2 out of 3 big monsties. Now that I feel pretty comfortable

I beat it! Kinda lost steam there. Refusing to let any of my characters die really wrecks the difficulty curve tbh. Still a good time and glad to have finally beaten it! I wonder if Firaxis's Marvel tactics game will be any good? Ugh why Marvel though?
